KAVİS MAKİNE

The mold is the most critical factor in rubber injection molding and rubber press production. At Kavis Makine, we manage the entire process from the design to the manufacturing of injection molds, compression molds, and transfer molds. With cold runner systems, we reduce material waste and shorten cycle times.

Rubber Mold Types and Production

Injection Mold

Injection Mold
It is shaping by filling the cavity in the mold, as pre-prepared in the rubber injection machine
Injection Mold

Kompression Mold

Kompression Mold
It is shaped by compressing the rubber in the space inside the mold.

Transfer Mold

Transfer Mold
It is shaped by transferring the rubber upper plate and the piston to the cavity in the mold under pressure.

Rubber Mold Types

Quality starts with the right mold design. Depending on the machine type, part geometry, and material, we offer three main mold types:

  • Injection Mold: Suitable for FIFO system machines. The material is injected into the mold cavity under pressure after preparation. It is the most efficient mold type for mass production.

  • Compression Mold: Raw rubber is placed into the mold cavity and compressed by the press closing force. It is suitable for simple geometries and low production volumes. Mold costs are lower.

  • Transfer Mold: The material is placed between the upper plate and the piston, then transferred into the cavity under pressure. It is simpler than an injection mold and more precise than a compression mold. It is used in presses without a plasticizing unit.

Cold Runner Applications

In injection molding production, the material remaining in the runner becomes waste. Cold runner systems reduce this waste. At Kavis Makine, we offer various cold runner solutions:

  • 4-Nozzle Entry: Simultaneous injection into four cavities within a single mold. Ideal for symmetrical parts. Waste is minimized.

  • 8-Nozzle Entry: Designed to produce more parts in a single cycle. Especially preferred for small gaskets and sealing components.

  • Custom Nozzle Design: We develop solutions for non-standard geometries, different flow characteristics, and special cavity layouts. Through mold analysis, we determine the optimum number of nozzles and gate locations.

Mold Support and Consultancy

We do more than just sell machines. We help you select the most suitable mold type for your production requirements. If you already have a mold, we analyze how it will perform on different machines. If you need a new mold, we provide support from the design stage onward.
